Stain Glass Bracelet Graph pattern and Square Stich - Learn How

The Square stitch is a great stitch when making a bracelet. It is not as easy or as fast as making it on the loom. It is stronger though when you work the bracelet in the square stitch the way I show you in this tutorial. I am also adding a new free graph pattern for a Stain Glass Bracelet made in the square stitch instead of the Stain Glass bracelet in peyote stitch. Hope you enjoy making and wearing it. The pattern is made using the wonderful MIYUKI Delica beads. I always like how beautiful the Delica work up in a bracelet.

Beads Used: 11˚ MIYUKI DELICA beads, window color 11˚ MIYUKI DELICA beads, Black   Each repeat of the graph pattern measures approximately 1-3/4". My bracelet is approximately 7" and I did almost 4 repeats.

Start by waxing and stretching your thread, use Nymo D or C-Lon & a #11 or #12 beading needle. I used Fireline 6lb. crystal.  Tie in a "stopper" bead, leaving about an 8" tail and begin at step #1. *Please note: you can also use B Nymo thread so you can more easyly go through the beads several times.

	Row 1 and 2 1. Pick up 7 beads, go with thread left to right through the 6th bead and then forward through the 7th bead as shown. Stack the beads while pulling up thread.
	2. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	3. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	4. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	5. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	6. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	7. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	8. Continue with working thread and go through all the beads in the previous row and then through all the beads in the row just worked.
	Row 3 9. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread right to left through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	10. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread right to left through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	11. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread right to left through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	12. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread right to left through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	13. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread right to left through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	14. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread right to left through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	15. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread right to left through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	16. Continue with working thread and go through all the beads in the previous row and then through all the beads in the row just worked.
	Row 4 17. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	18. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	19. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	20. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	21. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	22. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	23. Pick up 1 bead, go with thread left to right through the bead right below in the previous row, and forward through the bead just added. The bead you picked up will sit on the top of the bead in the previous row.
	24. Continue with working thread and go through all the beads in the previous row and then through all the beads in the row just worked.
	25. Continue by repeating Row 3 and Row 4 working your pattern.
