Simple Sparkle Necklace Pattern

The Simple Sparkle Necklace pattern is another easy necklace to make. It uses larger crystals, so it really does sparkle. I really like these easy necklaces, you can take a handful of beads and make a beautiful necklace.

A = 11/0 seed bead, main color
B = 11/0 seed bead, 2nd color
C = 6mm crystals

Start by waxing and stretching your thread. Use Fireline*, Nymo D or C-Lon & a #11 or #12 beading needle. Tie in a "stopper" bead, leaving about a 10" tail and begin at Round 1, step #1. *Fireline does not need to be stretched or waxed.

Row 1
1.
Pick up 3A, 1B, 5A, 1B, 2A, go with thread up through the 1st A bead just added.

2. Pick up 4A, 3B, go with thread up through the 1st B bead just added.

3. Pick up 7A, 1B, 5A, 1B, 2A, go with thread up through the 5th A bead just added.

4. Continue Row 1 by repeating steps #2 & #3 until the necklace is the length that you want.

5. To add clasp, pick up 3A, clasp, 3A, go with thread up through 2 A beads in necklace. Continue with working thread around through the clasp beads several times, then following blue dotted line in illustration go through the loop of beads coming out with working thread up through the 1st B bead added in a repeat of step #3.

Row 2
6. a) Pick up 2B, go with thread up through the 3rd & 1st B beads and the 4th A bead, step #2.
b) Pick up 1B, go with thread down through the 1st A bead, step #3 and the 1st & 2nd B beads, step #2.

7. Pick up 3B, 1C, 1B, go with thread up through the C and 3rd B beads just added in this step.

8. a) Pick up 1B, go with thread up through the 3rd & down through the 2nd B beads, step #2.
b) Pick up 1B, go with thread down then up, following blue dotted line in illustration go through the loop of beads coming out with working thread up through the 1st B bead added in the next repeat of step #3 to left.

9. Continue Row 2 by repeating steps #6 through #8 to the other end. Add the other end of the clasp, in the same manner as step #5. Weave in the working threads and end.
