New Tila Lace Necklace Pattern


Pretty little necklace made with Tila Beads, Triangle beads and seed beads.

A = Miyuki 11° SEED bead
B = Miyuki 10° Triangle bead
C = Tila Beads


Start by waxing and stretching your thread, use Nymo D or C-Lon & a #11 or #12 beading needle. Tie in a "stopper" bead, leaving about an 8" tail and begin at step #1.





1. Pick up 14A, go with thread up through the 1st A bead just added.




2. Pick up 1B, 2A, 1B, 2A, 1B, go with thread forward through the 14 A beads, step #1 and the 1st B bead just added in this step.




3. Pick up 1A, 1C, 1A, 1B, go with thread up through 5 A beads as shown, step #1 or step #9, the 1st b bead, step #2 or step #10, and forward through the 1 A, 1 C and 1 A beads just added in this step.



4. a) Pick up 1B, 1A, go with thread up through the right side hole in the C bead, step #3.
b) Pick up 1A, 1B, go with thread down through the 1st A bead, left side hole in the C bead and the next A bead, step #3.




5. Pick up 5A, go with thread up through the A bead, step #4a, the right side hole in the C bead, step #3, and the A bead, step #4b.


6. a) Pick up 2A, 1B, 3A, go with thread down through the 2nd A bead, step #3, and the 5th A bead, step #5.
b) Pick up 5A, go with thread forward through the 2nd A bead just added.
c) Pick up 6A, go with thread up through the B bead, step #6a.





7. a) Pick up 3A, 1C, go with thread down through the 3rd A bead, step #6c.
b) Pick up 1B, 1A, go with thread up through the right side hole in the C bead, step #7a.


8. a) Pick up 1A, 1B, go with thread down through the 3rd A bead, step #7a, left side hole in the C bead, the 3rd and 2nd A beads, step #6c.
b) Pick up 4A, go with thread up through the A bead, step #7b, and the right side hole in the C bead, step #7a, and the A bead, step #8a.


9. a) Pick up 1B, 5A, 1B, go with thread up through the A bead, step #7b, the right side hole in the C bead, the A bead, step #8a, down through the 1st B and 5 A beads, step #9a.
b) Pick up 9A, go with thread up through the 1st A bead, step #9a.





10. Pick up 1B, 2A, 1B, 2A, go with thread down through the 1st B bead, step #9a, and up through the 1st B bead, just added.


11. Continue by repeating steps #3 through #10 until the necklace is the length that you would like.

12. To add clasp, pick up 3A, clasp, 3A, go with thread up through 2A, 1B beads in necklace. Continue with thread around through the clasp beads several times for strength. Weave the working thread into the necklace and end. Repeat the clasp directions in the same manner at the other end of necklace after removing the stopper bead.

These are beautiful patterns, but I am confused about the patterns that a fee is charged for appearing on a 'free' jewelry making site.
