St. Petersburg Chain Bracelet/Necklace Pattern

The St Petersburg Chain Holiday Bracelet uses the St Petersburg Chain stich that you learned on my blog a couple of weeks ago. This pattern also curves nice if you would like to make a necklace too. It is an easy pattern to make. The red and greens makes it look like Christmas, but it can also be beautiful in any colors you choose.

A = Miyuki #1933, 11° SEED bead
B = Miyuki #16F, 11° SEED bead
C = Miyuki #1161, 10° Triangle bead
D = Miyuki #10F, 11° SEED bead
F = Toho Trans. Siam Ruby, 11° SEED bead
G = 4 mm Fire-polished crystals
Start by waxing and stretching your thread, use Nymo D or C-Lon & a #11 or #12 beading needle. Tie in a "stopper" bead, leaving about an 8" tail and begin at step #1.

1. Follow the instructions to make the St. Petersburg Chain Bead stitch using the bead colors from this pattern. This piece will be called the Base section in the future steps.

2.
Flip the Base section over so your C beads are on the bottom horizontally. Follow the purple dotted line in illustration through the piece, coming out with thread through the 1 B bead as shown. Pick up 4B, 1C, 4B, go with thread right to left through the same B bead your thread is exiting.

Continue with working thread through the piece, coming out with thread left to right through the C bead as shown.
