Aztec Gold Necklace Pattern



A beautiful necklace pattern with step-by-step instructions and full color illustrations you can make this necklace in no time. The pattern is made using Aztec Gold Vexolo beads, seed beads and Fire-polished crystals. It has a Egyptian look because of the Vexolo beads. It would look good with almost any outfit. You can also make it with different colors for more looks. If you have experience with net bead weaving, you might to be able to finish in one night too.

Bead Store
A = Toho 11° SEED bead, 47*
= 4mm Fire-polished crystal, 2* 
= 6mm Fire-polished crystal, 1*
= Vexolo bead right5x8 mm, 6*
Bead Counts are per repeat, repeat is approximately 1 inch
Nymo D Thread or Fireline (4 or 6 pound)
#11 or #12 beading needle

Abbreviations:
V (TH) = Top hole of the Czech VEXOLO
V (BH) = Bottom hole of the Czech VEXOLO






1. Pick up 1B, 1A, 1B, 6A, go with thread forward through the 1 B, 1 A and 1 B beads as shown.

2. Pick up 1A, 1V (TH), 1A, 1V (BH), 1A, 1V (TH), 1A, 1B, 1A, go with thread right to left through the bottom hole of the last V bead just added in this step.

3. Pick up 4A, 1V (TH), 4A, go with thread right to left through the bottom hole of the 1st V bead, step #2.

4.a) Pick up 1A, go with thread up through the 2nd B bead and the 1st A bead of the 6A, step #1 (first time) or the B bead and the 1st the 1st A bead of the 6A, step #10 (every time after).
b) Pick up 3A, go with thread left to right through the top hole of the 2nd Z bead, step #2.
c) Pick up 4A, go with thread down and then right to left through the B bead, last A bead and the bottom hole of the 3rd V bead, step #2, and the 1st A bead, step #3.


5. Pick up 4A, 1V (TH), 1A, go with thread right to left through the bottom hole of the V bead, step #3.

6. Pick up 1A, 1V (TH), 3A, go with thread left to right through the bottom hole of the V bead just added in this step.

7. Pick up 1A, 1C, 1A, go with thread left to right through bottom hole of the V bead, step #5.

8. Pick up 2A, go with thread right to left through 4th A bead, the top hole of the V bead and the last A bead, step #5, the bottom hole of the V bead, step #3, the 1st A bead, the top hole of the V bead and the next A bead, step #6.


9. Pick up 3A, go with thread up through the last A bead, step #3. Continue with working thread through Unit following the thread path in illustration, coming out with thread down through the 1 B bead, step #2.

10. Pick up 1A, 1B, 5A, go with thread down through the 4th A bead, step #4c, the B bead, step #2, forward through the 1st A bead and the 1 B bead just added in this step.
11. Continue by repeating steps #2 through #10 until the necklace is the length that you would like.
To add clasp, pick up 3A, clasp, 3A, go with thread up through 1 B and 1 A beads in necklace. Continue with thread around through the clasp beads several times for strength. Weave the working thread into the necklace and end. Repeat the clasp directions in the same manner at the other end of necklace after removing the stopper bead.
